Description
During this summer you can have the ultimate experience of practicing yoga by the sea. Imagine listening to the sounds of the waves, feeling the cool sea breeze, smelling the salt water, basking in the open space and connecting with nature.
There are many benefits to practicing by the sea:
Breathe in the negative ions in pure fresh air and absorb plentiful of oxygen. This helps to improve your metabolism, immune system, calms the nervous system and relaxes your brain.
A dose of sunlight is important for our body, allowing our body to produce vitamin D and therefore reduces the chance of cancer. There is some evidence that bright light exposure reduces seasonal affective disorder, and it’s a standard treatment for certain circadian rhythm sleep disorders.
Come and join me for my weekly yoga classes with yoga By the Sea at Icebergs.
YIN YOGA is a relaxed, restorative style of yoga based on the traditional Hatha practice. Ideal for beginners, pre-natal & those who prefer a gentle, meditative approach to their yoga.
YANG YOGA is a stronger Ashtanga style of yoga using Vinyasa flow techniques to improve strength, fitness & flexibility. Although more strenuous than Yin Yoga, beginners are welcome as well as those looking for more of a challenge.
After an hour of yoga you have access to the Icebergs pool for a refreshing swim and why not also warm those muscles in the sauna.
After all this there’s also a great café at Icebergs for a meal!
